Thermowhey was included as an example of applications of waste valorisation in high performance bio-packaging in a lecture given by Dr. Elodie Bugnicourt on biopolymers from waste valorization at the master in biological systems of the ESAB, UPC (http://www.esab.upc.edu/ca). She reviewed the current biopolymer industry landscape and trends and the reasons why we have been focusing on using waste as more sustainable and ethical resource for biopolymers than using food-competing crops.
